Risk & Execution Engineer
Position Description
The Risk & Execution Engineer is responsible for real‑time risk control and execution quality across all trading strategies. You will design systems that enforce limits, manage inventory, and optimize order execution under strict latency constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- •
Design and implement real‑time risk and limit enforcement systems
- •
Build and optimize execution algorithms (TWAP, VWAP, POV, adaptive)
- •
Monitor inventory, exposure, Greeks, and P&L in real time
- •
Implement safeguards against market, exchange, and system failures
- •
Partner with traders and quants to improve execution quality
Technical Requirements
- •
Strong software engineering background (Rust, C++, or Go)
- •
Experience building real‑time, event‑driven systems
- •
Knowledge of order lifecycles, exchange risk controls, and margining
- •
Strong analytical and debugging skills under production pressure
Nice to Have
- •
HFT or market‑making experience
- •
Derivatives or options risk management exposure
- •
Familiarity with exchange kill‑switches and pre‑trade risk checks
